This may occur where patients self-refer for certain scans without a GP referral. In those cases, we may ask you to provide details about your clinical history or relevant health information so that we can assess the appropriateness of the scan and support the clinical reporting process.

The collection and use of this information is governed by our Non-Medical Referral Policy, which sets out the circumstances in which patients may self-refer and the information that may be required.

Health data collected in this way will only be used for clinical and healthcare purposes, including:

  • assessing and processing your referral;
  • enabling radiologists and clinical staff to interpret your scan and produce a diagnostic report; and
  • where appropriate, sharing results with your GP or other healthcare professional involved in your care.

We do not use or share health data for marketing purposes.

Marketing

We will use your personal data to send you updates (by email, text message, telephone, or post) about our products and/or services.

Referrals are processed in accordance with our Non-Medical Referral Policy. Personal data submitted through the referral process is used exclusively for clinical reporting purposes and is never used for marketing. Such data may be shared with radiologists to enable the preparation of reports, and the resulting reports may be shared with the patient’s GP where appropriate.

We routinely share personal data with:

  • Healthcare regulators (e.g. CQC in the UK,) and NHS bodies or public health authorities (where applicable);
  • Referring clinicians (GPs, consultants, specialists); and

We only allow those organisations to handle your personal data if we are satisfied they take appropriate measures to protect your personal data. We also impose contractual obligations on them to ensure they can only use your personal data to provide services to us and to you.

How long your personal data will be kept

We store and process the majority of personal data within the United Kingdom. In particular, clinical and operational data is stored and processed solely within the UK and is not transferred internationally by us.

However, we use certain analytics and marketing tools provided by third-party service providers which may process limited technical data outside the UK.
